Colour Matching

We understand that as a web based business it can sometimes be challenging to find exactly what you are looking for as there can be slight discrepancies between your computer screen colour settings and the true colour of pieces from our collection. To alleviate any concerns our interstate & international clients may have we suggest you send us a small sample swatch of the fabric you are trying to match to fabric, trims, motifs or remnants from our collection. This process assists us in providing you the best possible service so that you receive exactly what you are looking for. When sending small sample swatches please highlight your top 3 pieces you believe are the best possible match to your fabric. Once we receive your sample swatch (see Address details on the Contact Us page) we then match it to your top 3 pieces and then consult you on which piece we feel is the most suited to the look you are trying to achieve. 

Creativity

Some of Australia's top designers use pieces from our collection in ways you never could possibly imagine. We want you, as our clients not to be afraid to think outside the square. Our collection is considerably versatile in ways which you can use our pieces, and only limited by your creativity!  Our fabrics have been photographed to show you the clarity, design and colour of each unique design. We have hundreds of designs arriving in each collection and they are all exclusive to Recherche Fabrics. 

Often clients cut the fabrics - ie cutting the scalloped border away from the design through the width to create a unique edging.  You can also then cut the smaller designs through the width and use as motifs where they then can be appliqued/stitched/glued on to your work of art!  This allows you the diversity to use your creative flair to achieve anything you imagine. A distinct feature of the majority of fabrics in our collection have a large scalloped border on one length and a smaller, more intricate scalloped border on the other length. The beauty of this choice is that this smaller scalloped border is often a stylish embelishment when adorning a neck-line on a bodice or for a lovely deep feature on the back. There really is no right or wrong way in which to use pieces from our collection. Dont be afraid to be adventurous - we love seeing our client's creative interpretations of what started out as an exquisite piece of fabric turned into an extraordinarily beautiful dress or costume.

Length, Width & Metrage

We pride ourselves on our unique collection of fabrics. Each piece has been selected by hand and is therefore available on an exclusive, limited basis. Generally, pieces from our collection have an average width of 1.15 - 1.3 metres (approximately 45-51 inches) & an average length of 2 metres. Select pieces are available in additional metrage and can be viewed through our 'Groups & Troupes' Category & additionally through our 'Bridal Lace' category. Our vision is not to become 'like everyone else' and copy what is currently available in the marketplace. We strive to continually improve our choice of pieces from our collection so that you love each & every piece as much as we do. 

Shipping/Exchange Policy

Our complete Shipping Policy can be viewed once you have selected your purchase & added it to the shopping cart. This enables you to determine the modes of Shipping available  to your country of residence and the expected time of delivery. Please choose carefully as we don't refund however we are happy to exchange Fabrics or Trims (from our Fully Sequined Trims collection) provided they are returned to us within 7 working days in exactly the same way in which you received them. All associated Shipping costs are the responsibility of the client.
